Richard Boxer is the Chief Medical Officer of Pager, a national mobile health technology company whose app connects patients to health systems. Pager has been called “Uber for Healthcare” because one of the three founders created the technology for Uber. Richard Boxer, MD is Voluntary Professor and Visiting Scholar at the David Geffen School of Medicine and Business of Science Center at UCLA. Richard is also the Chief Medical Officer of a new telemedicine company, Well*Via. In addition, he is a consultant to many early and mature high technology connected healthcare companies. Dr. Boxer was the founding Chief Medical Officer at Teladoc, Inc. from 2006-2013. He was the architect of the clinical program for the nation's largest telemedicine company that grew from 50,000 to 6,000,000 members. He directed all clinical aspects of interactions with large clients and with state and federal regulatory agencies, Congress and Executive Branch, and created the industry standard telemedicine quality assurance program. He also led the effort to become the nation's first NCQA accredited telemedicine company.
